Zimbabwe is in big trouble again. The ruling party, Zanu PF, is now fighting from inside. President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his Vice President, Constantino Chiwenga, are no longer friends. They are fighting each other for power. This fight is making Zimbabwe worse. And now, one man called Blessed Geza is making it even more difficult. Geza is a war veteran and used to be part of Zanu PF’s central committee. He is now against Mnangagwa and wants him to step down.

Geza is very angry. He says Mnangagwa wants to stay in power longer than the law says. Mnangagwa’s second term is supposed to end in 2028. But he wants to change the law to stay until 2030. Geza says this is not right. He calls it a dictatorship. Many people now think Mnangagwa is even planning to stay for a third term. Mnangagwa says that is not true. But his friends and supporters are pushing for it, which shows they are doing it for him.

Geza is not standing alone. Many other war veterans are on his side. He even warned Mnangagwa that he must resign in ten days or face big problems. Later, Geza said he didn’t mean it like that. But he is still fighting hard against the President. He said he will push until Mnangagwa is gone. Geza also used the words “final push.” These words were used long ago by Morgan Tsvangirai when he tried to remove Robert Mugabe. Mnangagwa and Chiwenga removed Mugabe in 2017, but now they are fighting each other.

Zanu PF has kicked Geza out of the party. But war veterans are still with him. They say Mnangagwa was not a real fighter in the war for independence. He was trained, but he stayed in Zambia while others were fighting. They now believe he betrayed the war veterans and the people of Zimbabwe.

Even though Mnangagwa’s people are threatening him, Geza is not scared. He says he is not fighting for one group, but for all Zimbabweans. But many Zimbabweans do not believe anything will change. They remember how Mnangagwa said things would be better after Mugabe, but nothing changed. People fear that even if Chiwenga takes over, Zimbabwe will still have the same problems.

Mnangagwa has been in politics for many years. He was close to Mugabe and helped him rule with fear. He was also linked to the Gukurahundi killings in the 1980s, where thousands of people in the Midlands and southwest died. Even after removing Mugabe, Mnangagwa did not stop the bad ways. His government still arrests opposition leaders, takes away people’s freedoms, and allows corruption.

Geza and the war veterans say Mnangagwa’s government is full of nepotism and theft. They say public money is being stolen. Many people around the world agree. In 2020, the United States put sanctions on Mnangagwa and his team for corruption and human rights abuse. Britain also added its own punishments.

Now, Mnangagwa is in real danger. He has two big problems. First, the people of Zimbabwe are tired and angry. If the army stops supporting him, he has no power. Second, people inside his party are turning against him. The same ones who helped him in 2017 now want him out. If they win, Mnangagwa could be removed by another coup.

What happens next will shape Zimbabwe’s future. The army, war veterans, and the people will decide. If things get worse, there could be more violence. Zimbabwe is already suffering with money problems, and this fight for power is making things worse. The people of Zimbabwe want peace and a better life. But their leaders are busy fighting each other. The next few months will be very important. Anything can happen.
