ZANU PF WAR: THE DEADLY FIGHT FOR POWER BEGINS

Zimbabwe is in deep trouble. There is a big fight happening inside the ruling Zanu PF party. This fight is about who should lead the party and the country. It started after Robert Mugabe was removed in 2017. Now, President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputy Constantino Chiwenga are fighting each other. They both want to be in charge.
Mnangagwa became president after Mugabe. But Chiwenga and many others in the party are no longer supporting him. They say Mnangagwa is not doing a good job. War veterans, led by Blessed Geza, are now speaking out. They say Mnangagwa is corrupt. They also say he has failed to run the country. They want him to resign.
Chiwenga is not attacking Mnangagwa directly. But he has been talking about corruption. He says corruption is a danger to the country. Many people think he is talking about Mnangagwa without saying his name. This has made things worse. The fight between these two leaders is now very serious.
Things took a dark turn last night. Some people set fire to buildings and cars. The places they attacked belong to people close to Mnangagwa. They bombed businesses and burned vehicles. It looked like a warning. The targets included famous businessmen like Kuda Tagwirei, Wicknell Chivayo, Tino Machakaire, and John Mangudya. All of them are seen as strong supporters of Mnangagwa.
One very shocking thing happened to Wicknell Chivayo. Some armed men broke into his in-laws’ house. They took US$75,000 in cash. This money was part of the US$125,000 that Chivayo had paid as lobola for his wife Lucy Lulu Muteke. Many people believe this robbery was not just a normal crime. They think it was a message to Chivayo to stop supporting Mnangagwa. Chivayo is known for being close to the president. Many people see him as part of the corruption in the government.
People who know what is happening inside the party say these attacks are not random. They believe the attacks are political. They are meant to scare people who support Mnangagwa. There are also reports of secret break-ins and threats. This shows that the power struggle is now very dangerous.
The fight between Mnangagwa and Chiwenga could destroy Zanu PF. The party is breaking apart. People are taking sides. Zimbabweans are now afraid of what might happen. They worry that this fight could bring more violence. If the leaders do not stop, the country could be in chaos.
It also looks like Mnangagwa is losing control. Even his own people are turning against him. More and more voices are asking him to step down. At the same time, Chiwenga is gaining more power. People are tired of how the country is being run. They see Chiwenga as a better leader, even if he was once Mnangagwa’s ally.
The situation is now very scary. The burning of buildings and stealing of money show that this is no longer just about politics. It has become deadly. People are using violence to fight for power. This is bad for the country.
No one knows what will happen next. Will Mnangagwa stay in power, or will Chiwenga take over? Zimbabweans are waiting and watching. The whole country is holding its breath. What started as a simple fight inside a party is now a real danger to the whole nation.
This is not the Zimbabwe we want. We want peace, not firebombs. We want leaders who care, not leaders who fight for power. The people of Zimbabwe deserve better. This war inside Zanu PF must stop before it destroys the whole country.
