ZIMBABWE IS IN A SILENT WAR AND THE PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING

Zimbabwe is not at peace. Even if there are no bombs or guns in the streets, there is a big war inside ZANU PF. It is not a small fight. It is a fight for power, for money, and for control of the army. It is a war between Vice-President Chiwenga and President Mnangagwa’s close friends. The leaders are not united. They are scared of each other. And the people of Zimbabwe are the ones who suffer while they fight.

Chiwenga is not hiding his anger anymore. He has spoken again with very strong words. He called Mnangagwa’s people “zvigananda.” That means greedy, heartless people. He said their time will come. He said they will not run forever. They will face justice. This is not the first time he has spoken like this. But this time, it feels different. This time, it feels like he is ready to take action.

Inside ZANU PF, things are falling apart. Mnangagwa’s friends are using money to gain more power. They are supporting a businessman called Kudakwashe Tagwirei. He is very rich. He is meeting people, giving out money, and becoming more powerful every day. They want him to take over when Mnangagwa leaves. But Chiwenga is not happy. He has gone quiet, but people close to him say he is planning something big. They believe he still controls the army. And in Zimbabwe, whoever controls the army controls everything.

Many are now watching another man — General Philip Valerio Sibanda. He is the head of the army. Some say he may want to become the next president too. Others say he is the only one who can stop Chiwenga. Some believe the army trusts Sibanda more than Chiwenga. That makes him a very important person in this fight.

In Zimbabwe, the army is not just for protecting the people. It is also used in politics. This is not new. In 2017, it was the army that removed Mugabe. They helped Mnangagwa become president. Now the army is again being used to decide who leads the country. This is dangerous. It kills democracy.

The voters in Zimbabwe do not have the power. The soldiers do. This problem started long ago during the liberation war. After independence, the army did not stay in the barracks. They joined politics. They became ministers. They ran big companies. And now they are choosing presidents. That is not how a free country works.

This kills free and fair elections. People start to think that voting does not matter anymore. Because even if they vote, the army will choose who they want. This creates fear. It makes people stop believing in change. It destroys hope.

While the big men fight for power, the people are suffering. There is no clean water in many areas. Hospitals have no medicine. There are no jobs. Prices are going up every day. The Zimbabwean dollar is losing value. Families are going hungry. But the leaders are busy fighting about who will rule next.

This is not leadership. This is selfishness. Zimbabwe needs peace. Zimbabwe needs real democracy. We need leaders who care about the people, not about money and power. Until that happens, nothing will get better.

Chiwenga has made his move with words. The next move may not be words. We must watch closely. But we must also speak out. Because this silent war is not just inside ZANU PF. It is a war on the people of Zimbabwe.

The people are paying the price. The people are suffering. And no one in power seems to care.

  1. Opposition bloggers want the country to collapse so they can blame ZANU PF. These fights you talk about only exist online, not in real life. People see through this nonsense.

  2. While you complain, real progress is happening. Roads are being built, schools are reopening, and local businesses are growing. Stop lying to the people for likes and shares.

  3. Elections mean nothing if the army keeps picking presidents. We need to reclaim our power as citizens and demand real democracy, not deals made in army barracks. The suffering continues while they play their power games. We must stop watching like it’s a movie. It’s time to organize, speak up, and demand change for real.

  4. This is just more opposition gossip meant to divide ZANU PF. There is no war. The party is strong and united. Real leaders are focused on development, not social media drama. You always paint the army as a problem, but without them, there would be no Zimbabwe. Stop attacking our heroes just to push your agenda.
